چکیده
This work aims to verify the possibility of valuing coconut husk fiber through pyrolysis for production carbonized, and evaluate influence conditions in its potential use as a soil conditioner. Biomass were pyrolyzed used peak temperatures 350, 450 550 °C, with immersion time 30 minutes. The characterization included analyses bulk density, proximate analyses, X-RF, total carbon, pH, electrical conductivity, thermal analysis biomass cation exchange capacity carbonized. results indicate that has relevant properties thermochemical conversion temperature influenced characteristics X-RF showed carbonized presents K, Cl, Ca, Na Mg content composition. pH proved be alkaline It was possible conclude produced have viable application

Extraction and characterization of dietary fiber from coconut residue
The present work was conducted to investigate the coconut residue (CR) left after the extraction of coconut milk by subjecting it to physical treatments. Water-washed samples as well as the original samples were analyzed for their chemical composition, soluble dietary fiber (SDF), insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) and total dietary fiber (TDF), and measurements were based on dry matter. Fractionate...

In this research, adsorption experiments were carried out for removal of Basic Blue 41(BB41) dye from an aqueous solution, using coconut fiber particles (CFP) as a low-cost biosorbent. The characteristics of coconut fiber particles weredeterminedwith a scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. The effects of initial pH, biosorbentdose, contact time,...
متن کاملInfluence of pyrolysis temperature on lead immobilization by chemically modified coconut fiber-derived biochars in aqueous environments
Biochar has received widespread attention as an eco-friendly and efficient material for immobilization of toxic heavy metals in aqueous environments. In the present study, three types of coconut fiber-derived biochars were obtained by pyrolyzing at three temperatures, i.e., 300, 500, and 700 °C. In addition, nine types of biochars were prepared by chemical modification with ammonia, hydrogen pe...
متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Cellulose Nanofibers From Coconut Coir Fibers
Cellulose nanofibers were isolated from coconut coir fibers by chemical treatment using alkaline, mineral acids and inorganic salts, followed by mechanical treatment and disintegration methods like sonication, cryo crushing and dissolution. The size and morphology of cellulose nanofibers were investigated by using the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM). The width of synthesized...
